During our recent trip to Phoenix, we got to check out Mountain Shadows Resort and let me tell you, I’m a HUGE fan. Just ten miles from PHX airport is Mountain Shadow’s resort. Overlooking beautiful Sonora desert, the views at Mountain Shadows aren’t the only perks that’ll have you wanting to come back to this hotel over and over again. This retro resort is located in Camelback Mountain’s backyard. Sit at the pool and take in the views or have a cocktail on the outdoor patio after a day of exploring.
Let’s talk food. Hearth ’61 is the on-site restaurant featuring an open kitchen, daily specials, and a lovely outdoor patio. We ate here for breakfast and lunch and loved each meal. A few of our favorites from the menu were the day-boat scallops, asparagus soup, ahi tartare, and roasted rack of lamb.
Whether you’re planning a trip with your girlfriends or your significant other, Mountain Shadows is the perfect spot to relax after exploring all that Phoenix and Scottsdale have to offer. Check it out for your next stay and let me know if you love it as much as I do. 🙂
