It’s been so amazing these past couple of days to be back in Indiana with my family. We had such a lovely Christmas, and my younger sister and I planned a trip to Chicago to get in some much needed QT. It was her first time in Chicago and she just turned 21 so I couldn’t wait to show her around. I’m now in Austin for NYE and so excited to bring in the new year with CJ and some of our friends.
Like any other year, there were so many good, bad and challenging moments. I always find comfort in reflecting back on the year – celebrating my highs, learning from my lows and digesting everything in between. This year has been my best year yet and I’m so stoked to see what 2018 has in store!
2017 Thoughts
- Loving yourself is everything
- “Comparison is the thief of joy” – Theodore Roosevelt
- Focus on the things you CAN control
- Your thoughts fuel your mind – feed it with faith, truth, and love

2018 Goals
- Instead of asking “Why me?” Ask “Why not me?”
- Stop saying yes to things that I’m not 100% passionate about or that don’t challenge me
- Be more of a morning person (workout before 8am)
- TRY to get 8 hours of sleep most nights
- Plan a SouthEast Asia trip
- Plan a girls trip
- Help my best friend plan the wedding of her dreams (she gets married Jan 2019)
- Complain less
- Donate things I haven’t used/worn in 6 months
- Cook more and eat in more
- Organize my life, including my inbox
- Be better at time management/find a work + life balance
Let’s make it a great one! What are your 2018 goals?
See you next year! 🙂 xx
