Camping at Whiskey Ranch with Hipcamp

This past weekend CJ and I decided to spend our anniversary camping, something we’ve never done together before. We discovered Hipcamp a few months back and have been wanting to book something for awhile now. Hipcamp has some of the most epic places to camp around the US with so many unique experiences on ranches, nature preserves, farms, vineyards, and we ultimately decided to check out Whiskey Ranch at Reinstein, about an hour outside of San Francisco.

One of my favorite parts about living in SF is the ability to drive an hour and get to explore nature, farms, wineries, and starry skies. It’s always so relaxing to take a little break from technology and the busy city and spend uninterrupted time with the ones you love.

We had such an amazing time at Whiskey Ranch. Christopher, our host, showed us all around the ranch and gave us some great tips on where to hike. CJ and I brought a portable stove and cooked breakfast and dinner. It’s a little early in the camping season so it did get pretty chilly at night but we bundled up in our tent and played some cards games.
