Last week on our drive from Yosemite to LA I was booking our hotel very last minute and discovered The Hoxton had finally opened in DTLA. I’m aware of the chic hotel and its presence in Europe and have been tracking them as they start to expand into the US with openings like Portland, Williamsburg, and now LA.
Aimed to inspire cultural discovery, The Hoxton is home to three restaurants – one downstairs, which will act as a hub for locals and visitors, a basement bar which will become the new date spot, and a rooftop pool and bar which will allow guests to soak up the rays and enjoy a sunset cocktail. There are 174 guest rooms ranging in sizes: Snug, Cosy, Roomy, Biggy. We stayed in a Cosy during our trip and it was exactly that.
It wasn’t a surprise when I heard the SoHo house was behind the design of The Hoxton, everything is so perfectly layed out from the rattan headboard and chevron flooring to the marble surfaces.
If you find yourself looking for a chic spot to stay in DTLA, I would recommend The Hoxton. And if you’re not staying, at least check out their restaurant or grab a drink on the roof.
