Who needs a little black dress when you’ve got this beauty. Am I right or am I right?! Ok, Ok so the LBD will forever be Queen B, but I’m pretty sure this color is here to stay – it’s one of my favorites and perfect for fall. I bought this dress to wear to an upcoming event, but now I’m thinking I might wear it to one of the upcoming spring or fall weddings we have too!
This dress is from a boutique in Newark, CA called Trendy Temptations.
I also found some similar options here, here, here (in pink), and here (in red).
After I tried on this dress, it took me a solid two days to decide if I was going to keep it and even longer to leave the house wearing it. While I’m absolutely OBSESSED with it now, it took me way too long to look in the mirror and accept myself in it. I’ve never been the biggest fan of my hips and booty (I’m getting there), but over the past year I’ve finally started to accept and love the body I have. I don’t want to get too cheesy here, although I live for that kind of stuff. 😉 But remember, your mind fuels your thoughts and your thoughts fuel your actions – so think nice thoughts and don’t let your mind distort your mirror. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Thick, thin, tall, short, whichever words you use to describe your body, say them with confidence and kindness. Learning to love ourselves is half the battle – so keep spreading body positivity and tell your sister how great her booty looks in those jeans, or tell your girlfriend how amazing her arms look in that strapless dress. Spread the love. And most importantly…
Do you, boo. Embrace that body and rock what your momma gave you.

OMG HOW GORGEOUS ARE YOU! Love this dress on you and I love the idea of playing with a fun colour. Rock it, embrace it, you look great in it. I have a fuschia dress that I love to wear in the spring but also took me some time to get used to lol.
OMG you’re the sweetest – you made my day! Thank you Angela! You’ll have to share a pic of that fuchsia dress 🙂
One of the things I most appreciate about this post is what you shared about your body image. When we talk about these things it takes away its power. (Also you look great in the dress)
I completely agree, talking about it is so important and has helped so much. Thank you <3
I absolutely adore this dress on you! The first thing I noticed was your hips and how amazing you looked in this dress. It’s crazy how we can criticize what may be our best assest. Loved the body positivity boost and loved the photos.
You are such a doll! Thank you so much Jasmine.
I love this dress! You should feel absolutely beautiful in it – because you look it! 🙂 I totally get it… I’m 5’10” and it took me a LONG ASS time to love myself and my height! xo
Definitely agree on who needs a black dress? Even though I have a ton, I really like the yellow dress to give it a different twist. It looks great on you! And beautiful message on self love. It seems like we forget to love ourselves.
You’re so sweet – thank you Melissa! <3
